Gu Wang vegetarian sauces are made from carefully chosen organic or non-GMO ingredients. We are dedicate to produce more products WITHOUT adding artificial additives or preservatives.

We work in partnership with local farmers to ensure a stable supply of fresh ingredients, including organic rice and organic ginger from the east coast; hand-picked chili and plum from the west coast; baby leaves of Toona Sinensis from the south, and seaweed from the surrounding islands of Taiwan. We cook those natural’s delicacies with in-house naturally brewed and fermented sauces without adding artificial additives and preservatives. We are committed to recreate and seal the founder’s secret recipes in every bottle.

By using fresh ingredients, combining with the traditional fermentation sauce, to create delicious, healthy and safe products, we want you to enjoy delicious food carefree.

The three generations keep the founder’s spirit to maintain the heritage and continuously create more delicacies.

Since 1952, Gu Wang has been established for more than 60 years. Our founder Mr. Gu-Liang Lai, started learning the traditional brew and fermentation methods in his childhood. He passed on to the company not only the techniques of traditional brew and fermentation methods but also the spirit to create great flavor.

For over 60 years, the three generations keep the founder’s spirit to maintain the heritage and continuously create more delicacies. The family tradition and the new ideas from the new generation team always bring sparkles that lead us to create wonderful tastes.

Today, Gu Wang Foods endeavors to create wellness food products without compromising the taste. We want to share what our family believes the most delicious and healthy flavor with you.

Gu Wang Foods manufactures only plant-based, non-animal food products, the only vegetarian sauce manufacturer in Taiwan. Gu Wang is also recognized as Master of Vegetarian Gourmet Sauce.

At the beginning of the 1980’s, there are limited choices of vegetarian foods, therefore, being a vegetarian means sacrificing eating enjoyment. With the compassion for vegetarians, our founder Mr. Lai created the world’s first “Vegetarian Satay Sauce," an authentic sauce that was widely used in hot pot, stir-fry, BBQ, and as noodle sauce. He obtained a patent for 15 years. Since then, the company focused on creating more vegetarian sauces to increase the life quality of vegetarian people and encourage more people to convert to a plant-based diet.
